Setup up to approval
One login works for all 032 Ventures marketplaces. Which ones are relevant for you follows later from your range; you do not have to choose anything when signing up.
Creating your account and brand
- Create an account with email address and password. You receive a confirmation email; you sign in with that address from then on.
- Create your brand: just the brand name and the question of how you sell. The rest (store, tax details, payments) follows step by step.
| Path | For whom | What is different afterwards |
|---|---|---|
| Connect Shopify | you have a Shopify store | products, stock and shipping regions come from your store, orders land there |
| Without a shop system | you have no store, or a different one | you add products by hand and manage stock and shipping costs in the Seller Center |
| Directory listing only | you only want to appear in the catalogue, not sell | no products, no payout; instead the choice of marketplace and a direct debit mandate (see Campaigns and catalogue) |
A directory listing can be upgraded to a full brand at any time.
The setup
As long as something is missing, the top of the menu shows Setup: a list of steps marked "Up next", "Done" and "Comes later". The first open step is always expanded, and after saving, the next one opens by itself. Which steps there are depends on the path you chose:
| Step | Shopify | Without a shop system | Directory only |
|---|---|---|---|
| Connect Shopify | yes | ||
| Marketplace for your catalogue page | yes | ||
| Profile | yes | yes | yes |
| Tax details | yes | yes | yes |
| Legal documents | yes | yes | yes |
| Agreement and declaration | yes | yes | yes |
| Payments (payout account at Stripe) | yes | yes | |
| Direct debit (SEPA mandate) | yes | ||
| Regions (shipping) | yes | yes | |
| Email news (optional) | yes | yes | yes |
- Connect Shopify links your store with a connection code, step by step under The Shopify app. Afterwards your products are fetched; nothing goes live yet, see Publishing products. Shipping regions can be imported from Shopify too, see Shipping and orders.
- Profile: brand name, email address for customer enquiries and a phone number.
- Tax details: company name as registered, or first and last name with legal form, address, ship-from country (not necessarily your registered seat, the tax treatment depends on it), tax number, VAT ID and return address.
- Legal documents: links to your terms and conditions, your privacy policy and your withdrawal policy, plus the question whether you are entered in the commercial register, and if so the register court and number. With Shopify we take terms and privacy policy from the store.
- Agreement and declaration: you accept the marketplace agreement and confirm separately that you only offer products that comply with the law of the European Union. We record both with date and agreement version.
- Payments: your payout account is set up with Stripe, not with us; your bank details never reach us. One account covers all marketplaces.
- Direct debit (directory brands only): we bill clicks from the catalogue monthly by SEPA direct debit, the only place where we debit your account. You pay for campaigns and catalogue positions when you book them.
- Regions: at least one shipping region. Without it the marketplaces charge no shipping, see Shipping and orders.
What is missing is shown in one line. Details on every item under Settings.
The Shopify app
The 032 Seller Center app connects your Shopify store to your account. It has no login of its own and opens inside your Shopify admin. Installing it is free.
- In the setup, click Connect shop under "Connect Shopify". The Seller Center shows a connection code and the button Install the app in Shopify.
- Install the app in your store and confirm the access Shopify asks for.
- The app shows "Connect this shop to 032 Ventures". Paste the code and click Connect.
- Back in the Seller Center, click Reload. The step shows your store as connected, and your products are fetched.
From then on the app shows your products and where they are live. Which products go live where, you decide in the Seller Center, see Publishing products.
If something does not work:
- The app asks for a connection code: the store is not linked to an account. Create a code with Connect shop and paste it into the app.
- The code is not accepted: every code works once. Create a new one with Connect shop.
- A product is missing: only active products of your store are fetched. Fetch them again under Sync.
- A marketplace order is missing in Shopify: write to us with the order number from Orders, see Shipping and orders.
- Uninstalling disconnects the store and takes your products off all marketplaces. Your account stays: reinstall the app and connect it with a new code.
Completing the setup
Once all steps are done, you complete the setup with one click. Your brand is then approved, without waiting. We do not review in advance but look afterwards; products only go live when you switch them on per marketplace. The setup can only be completed when everything is there: without the agreement, without a payout account (except for directory brands) and without a shipping region (except for directory brands) the Seller Center refuses and says what is missing. We cannot currently accept small businesses under the VAT exemption or brands based outside the EU, see Taxes. The header shows the state of your brand:
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Setup in progress | a step is still missing, or you have not completed the setup yet |
| Approved | you can publish products. "Setup" disappears from the menu; every detail remains reachable under Settings |
| rejected | only occurs for brands whose details used to be reviewed by hand. You receive the reason by email, fix it and complete the setup again yourself |
| Suspended | we have suspended your brand, for example after a violation of the guidelines. Write to us |
| Deactivated | you stopped selling yourself, see Settings |
Anything you list before approval is noted and goes live as soon as the approval is there.
